Vesterberg is very popular and famous for spectacular sunrise views from the top of the summit. It makes for a great early morning hike or run.
Close to the summit of Vensterberg, there’s a rock formation which creates a window through which you can see a part of George. There are a few scrambling sections on route. A guide would be recommended if you are doing the route for the first time and you are not comfortable with this type of terrain.
The weather can be unpredictable at an altitude of more than 800m, even with sunny forecasts, so please make sure you have all the necessary compulsory gear. An extra warm top or base layer is advisable.
