CTC will start with road maintenance and harvesting activities on the Witfontein middle contour
road. The aim is to open roads to sunlight before road maintenance.
NO ACCESS will be granted to any public during this operation.
Sign boards, safety tapes as well as a guard will be at entry and exit points. Please adhere to their
instructions of NO ENTRY.
Tree felling operations will take place along all of the above mentioned roads as well as movement
of heavy machinery and equipment.
May – Jul 2025
The estimated time frame will be from 20 May 2025 for about 3 months.
Ongoing will be harvesting of compartments C23, C22, C21a and C21b.
This will mean that the MIDDLE WITFONTEIN CONTOUR ROAD will be completely closed off to any
public use from the GRAND JUNCTION up to the WATERFALL.
Affected Routes
The ROCK ‘N ROLL route will also be closed as tree felling will particularly take place alongside the
section.
24 May 2025: Harvesting of Compartment C24e will also start.
Monday 26 May 2025: The BOSVARK, LOCKDOWN and BENJI routes will be closed to public use.
These operations will be extremely DANGEROUS and all cooperation is needed.
