The N9 Loop starts with the strenuous Montagu Pass climb before descending into Herold, meandering through Paardepoort and turning right at the Zebra intersection where it heads towards the Kamanassie dam through ostrich territory.
The loop is completed by returning on a section of the N9 (tarred) road before heading back on the same route through Herold to George.
