The route starts at the parking area close to Victoria Bay beach. Make your way up to the train tracks and follow it towards Wilderness to the West. It meanders along the cliff tops with beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. It crosses through train tunnels and over the famous Kaaimans railway bridge and past the Grotto before going onto Leentjiesklip beach and finishing at the parking area next to the Touw River mouth in Wilderness at Salinas’ Restaurant. The railroad is not currently active and is mostly good for hiking.
Please don’t use this route alone and take care as criminal activity have been reported on the railroad in the past.
