Mountain Ultra Trail
This route is used for the annual Mountain Ultra Trail 25km trail run which is one of the biggest trail races in George that takes place in the last weekend of June
You start at the top of Outeniqua pass and the route takes you through the Campers Kloof valley towards Herold. The last 10km descent is on the famous Cradock Pass trail and ends at the Witfontein Forestry Station.
Starts at Sputnik and finishes at the Witfontein forestry station.

The weather can be unpredictable at an altitude of more than 800m, even with sunny forecasts, so please make sure you have all the necessary compulsory gear. An extra warm top or base layer is advisable.
