Starting at the security boom gate at the entrance to the Garden Route Dam, the route follows the old original Seven Passes road between George and Knysna. This section is tar road, so watch out for vehicles; the road is narrow at times. Turn right at the top towards Wilderness Heights / Wildernesshoogte and follow the road and detour to Map of Africa (gravel road).
